神话改写·中间地带·框架叙事:论霍桑《献给男孩女孩的神奇故事》的叙事策略
  • 摘要

    霍桑《献给男孩女孩的神奇故事》在对源文本各要素进行重新改编、整合创作的过程中,有一套独特的叙事策略:在事件处理上,故事集依据现实性原则,将古希腊神话故事转换成情节事件,通过哥特化和罗曼司化等手段完成霍桑式神话的书写;在语调的选择上,作者一贯坚持“中间地带”的叙事策略,在现实与想象之间建构自己独特的话语模式;在叙事结构上,外层叙事和元故事叙事以框架结构(内层叙事)为纽带组成一个有机整体,让儿童通过故事的形式亲身感悟各种道德内涵,既避免了道德说教,又轻松实现其教育目的.
